Dejan Spasić, Kostolomac, was born in Zagreb in 1972. He completed the Secondary Medical School in Vinogradska Street in Zagreb and then graduated from the Medical College of the University of Zagreb School of Medicine. In 2000 he enrolled in the bridging year at the Zagreb College of Health Studies, specialising in physiotherapy.
He was also an active wrestler.
